CTAG Launches Law Entrance Coaching

The West Bengal chapter of the Centre for Training and Academic Guidance (CTAG), an initiative of the Human Welfare Foundation, recently initiated a coaching program tailored for law entrance examinations, marking a significant collaboration with Aligarh Muslim University’s Murshidabad Centre. Held within the prestigious confines of the MBA Seminar Hall at the University, this endeavor aims to equip aspiring law students with the necessary tools for success.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Nigamananda Biswas, Director and Associate Professor at Aligarh Muslim University, Murshidabad; Dr. Syed Atif Jilani, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration; Shaila Mehmood, Assistant Professor in the Department of Law; Dr. Md Sarwar Alam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration; Adv. Md Asmaul Haque, Social Activist; and Adv. Sujeda Khatun, Program Coordinator.

The coaching program is meticulously crafted to cater to various law entrance tests such as AMU LLB, CLAT, and others. It encompasses a comprehensive approach, including regular mock tests, personalized counseling, and guidance sessions. Under the expert professionals in the field, classes are conducted at the AMU Murshidabad Centre, ensuring a conducive learning environment conducive to academic excellence. CTAG West Bengal Coordinator Farook was also present.

The CTAG West Bengal Chapter has a commendable track record of providing coaching for the West Bengal Civil Service examination. Many of its alumni have secured prestigious positions within both state and central governments, a testament to the quality and efficacy of its programs in nurturing talent and fostering success.

Scholarship distribution and self-defense workshop for orphans

As part of the ongoing commitment to supporting orphan students through scholarships, The Orphan Department of Human Welfare Foundtion organized a pivotal self-defense training workshop at The Scholar School in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi.

Led by instructors from the Indo International Taekwondo Academy, the workshop was a dynamic and engaging session. Carefully curated modules were designed to impart invaluable self-protection skills to the children, arming them with practical techniques and strategies to confidently navigate potential threats and adversities. Beyond physical techniques, the workshop underscored the significance of mental resilience and situational awareness, instilling in the students a sense of assertiveness and confidence in their ability to safeguard themselves in any situation.

HWF Grants Scholarships to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students

In a gesture aimed at promoting education and empowering students, the Human Welfare Foundation recently disbursed scholarships to 35 deserving individuals pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the Delhi and Haryana regions. The ceremony, held at The Scholar School in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, witnessed the distribution of 95 scholarship cheques, specifically earmarked for orphan students, alongside those for other deserving candidates.

The event, graced by esteemed dignitaries, Dr. M. Farooque, President of the Medical Service Society and Chief Guest of the occasion, deliver an inspiring address. Joining him were notable figures including Mr. Kaleemul Hafeez, Chairman of the Al Hafeez Educational Society; Er. Aqeel Ahmad, Chief Engineer of the Municipal Corporation Delhi; Dr. Ataurrahman Azmi, Regional Coordinator at IGNOU; and Dr. Habeebul Rahman, Associate Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia and General Secretary of the Model Village Trust, who were acknowledged as Guests of Honor.

During the ceremony, the guests distributed scholarship cheques to the recipients and underscored the paramount importance of education in shaping the future of individuals and communities alike. They encouraged the students to remain steadfast in their pursuit of knowledge and to prioritize their educational goals above all else.

CLC Kanchankunj Commemorates Annual Day

The Community Learning Centre (CLC) in Kanchakunj, Delhi, joyously celebrated its Annual Day-2023, marked by a series of vibrant festivities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from learners in the presence of local community leaders and social workers.

The CLC, an impactful initiative of the Human Welfare Foundation, is committed to imparting basic education to out-of-school children, preparing them for formal education, and offering coaching to both dropout and school-going children. The primary goal is to equip children with fundamental literacy and education, subsequently facilitating their enrollment in nearby schools. Additionally, these centres extend their reach by providing essential vocational training to women and adults.

At the core of the CLC’s philosophy are four of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This underscores the program’s commitment to addressing key global challenges and contributing to a sustainable and inclusive future.

Human Welfare Foundation launches School Kit Distribution for 2023-24

Human Welfare Foundation has officially kicked off its School Kit Distribution program for the academic year 2023-24. The launch events took place in two selected villages in Madhya Pradesh.

Under the ambit of the School Kit Project, the foundation is committed to aiding students hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. These are individuals who are at a heightened risk of discontinuing their education or have siblings and neighbors who have already dropped out or are on the verge of doing so. The core objective of this initiative is to mitigate the incidence of school dropouts by offering crucial support to underprivileged students and their families. This support is materialized through the distribution of comprehensive school kits, comprising backpacks and essential stationary supplies.

The issue of school dropout is inherently complex and perilous, given its tendency to occur all too easily and frequently. A single variable among the mentioned factors can lead a student to falter in their academic journey and eventually abandon schooling altogether. The risk of school dropout is particularly pronounced in families grappling with a low standard of living, compounded by the challenges of poverty and marginalization. The School Kit Distribution program endeavors to break this cycle by providing tangible assistance to those in need, thereby fostering a conducive environment for sustained education.

HWF Distributes Scholarship Cheques to BATD Students

A scholarship cheque distribution program was organized for students adopted from the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) who have successfully graduated from The Scholar Schools in Guwahati and Howrah. These accomplished students are currently pursuing various courses in different universities. A total of 16 students were recipients of the scholarship cheques.

The program took place at The Scholar School in Guwahati, where Azmal Hussain Barbhuiya, Registrar of the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), and Sahabuddin Ahmed, Superintendent of the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA), distributed the scholarship cheques and engaged in interactive sessions with the students. The program was presided over by Abdur Rahman, Secretary of The Scholar School, Guwahati. This initiative aims to support and encourage academic excellence among adopted students, fostering their continued educational journey.

ISTC distributed certificates to the outgoing batch

In a significant stride towards empowering the underprivileged, the Innovation and Skill Training Centre (ISTC), an initiative of the Human Welfare Foundation (HWF), celebrated a momentous occasion with a Facilitation cum Certificate Distribution Program for 120 students. These students successfully completed courses in ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery), CCC (Course on Computer Concepts), and DCA (Diploma in Computer Applications) at the Delhi Jamia Nagar Centre of ISTC.

The ISTC, driven by its commitment to providing life skills training, aims to equip individuals with the necessary tools to break free from the cycle of poverty. The recent certificate distribution program underscores the organization’s dedication to fostering employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for the younger generation.

Free Health Screening Camp Empowers Children with Special Needs

In a heartwarming initiative to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Human Welfare Foundation joined hands with Al-Shifa Hospital, Oasis India Charitable Trust, and the Medical Service Society to organize a Free Health Screening Camp for Children with Special Needs. The event, held at Al-Shifa Hospital in New Delhi, aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to children with multiple disabilities.

The event was graced by Dr. Baldev Gulati (Assistant Professor, University of Delhi), Dr. Rasheed CA (Assistant Professor, Jamia Millia Islamia), and Mr. Amjad Khan (TGT, Dept. of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi). These distinguished individuals, who have triumphed over disabilities to achieve greatness, were felicitated during the event by Dr. Mohd. Farooque (President, MSS) and Dr. Minhajuddin (Director, Al-Shifa Hospital).

Their inspiring stories and words of encouragement resonated with the young participants and their parents, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere at the camp. Dr. Farooque highlighted the importance of such initiatives, stating, “This camp goes beyond medical check-ups; it’s about empowerment, inclusivity, and breaking down barriers for these special children.”

The collaborative effort demonstrated the impact that can be achieved when communities and organizations unite for a noble cause. As the children left the camp with smiles on their faces, the organizers expressed their commitment to continue such initiatives to create a more inclusive and supportive society for those with special needs.

ISTC’s new center inaugurates in Kumardubi, Jharkhand

Human Welfare Foundation inaugurated a local center of Innovation and Skill Training Center in Kumardubi in Jharkhand. The primary objective of the ISTC is to provide valuable computer education, thereby equipping the younger generation with essential skills crucial for contemporary employment opportunities. By focusing on computer education, the ISTC aims to bridge the digital divide and empower youth with the knowledge and proficiency required in the modern workforce.

HWF hands over completed house to beneficiary

Human Welfare Foundation handed over a completed housing project (House Project 211) to the beneficiary in Darrang, Assam. The beneficiary previously resided in a house with a tin roof and walls made of palm leaves. However, they have now relocated to a newly constructed RCC house. The Human Welfare Foundation’s main focus is on assisting individuals residing in the most underdeveloped villages across various North Indian states.
