The Human Welfare Foundation has inaugurated the Vision Academic City, a 24-acre educational and social development hub in Maroda village, marking a historic step toward transforming Mewat, one of Haryana’s most backward regions. The initiative, part of the Vision 2026 Programme, aims to provide quality education, healthcare, and community services to uplift the region.
Dr. P. Mohammed Ali Gulafar, Patron of Human Welfare Foundation and Founder of the Gulfar Group, formally declared the opening of Vision Academic City. Recalling the project’s genesis, he said: ‘The dream of Vision 2026 was conceived in 2005 to uplift backward regions like Mewat. Today, that dream is becoming a reality, and we will continue working for the educational and social progress of this region.’
The formal inauguration of Al Jamia Mewat Off-Campus, Chirag Middle School, and hostels for boys and girls, along with the foundation laying of the Scholar School and a Skill Development Centre, also took place during this event.
Er. Mamman Khan, MLA of Ferozepur Jhirka, Haryana, expressed his immense pleasure at the establishment of an institution in Mewat by HWF and assured his wholehearted support for Vision Academic City. T Arif Ali, Chairman of Vision 2026, presided over the inaugural session.
M. Sajid, General Secretary of HWF, welcomed the guests. Distinguished attendees included Md Jafar (Vice Chairman, HWF), Makbul Ahmed Anarwala (Retd. IPS, President, SBF), S. Anvarul Huda (Retd. IPS), Prof. Sara Begum (Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi), and other eminent personalities.
Siddique Ahmad Meo, a popular historian of Mewat, was honored for his exceptional contribution in documenting the history and heritage of the region.
The event featured ‘Tarang’ Cultural Program by students of Al Jamia Off-Campus and Chirag Middle School. ‘Mewat Ki Rasoi’, inaugurated by T. Arif Ali (Chairman, Vision 2026), showcased the region’s traditional cuisine, authentic flavors, and rich cultural heritage.
The Mewat Heritage Wall, curated as part of the inauguration, beautifully highlighted the region’s vibrant history and cultural legacy.
Prominent speakers stressed the urgent need for quality education and skill development in Mewat, pledging to make Vision Academic City a hub of learning, progress, and cultural pride for the region.
