1. Orphan Scholarship distribution program in Malerkotla, Punjab

   The Human Welfare Foundation has been dedicatedly working towards improving the lives of underprivileged and deserving orphaned children by providing them with vital support for their education. This commitment to making a positive impact was recently exemplified during the orphan scholarship distribution program held at the Punjab Urdu Academy in Malerkotla, Punjab. The event not only garnered the participation of over 50 influential individuals from the city but also ignited their enthusiasm for supporting this noble cause.

   

   The program saw the esteemed presence of numerous dignitaries, each of whom played a crucial role in bolstering the spirits of the attendees. Jamil Ur Rahman, the Member of the Legislative Assembly from Malerkotla, graced the gathering as the chief guest and delivered an inspirational address. Other notable personalities who lent their support included Latif Ahmad, CEO of the Punjab Waqf Board; Er. Jasvir Singh Dhiman, Deputy Chief of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL); Mohd Khalil, District Education Officer (DEO) of Malerkotla; and Dr. Naved Aslam, a renowned cardiologist. Their words of encouragement resonated deeply with the students, igniting hope and determination for a brighter future.

   

   During the event, the audience was also enlightened about the various activities undertaken by the Human Welfare Foundation by HWF General Secretary Muazzam Naik and Public Relations Director Rizwan Rafiqui. These efforts not only shed light on the organization’s valuable work but also reinforced the importance of collective support in transforming the lives of orphaned children.

2. Orphan Scholarship distribution in Raipur, Chhattisgarh

   The Orphan Care Department of Human Welfare Foundation organized scholarship distribution program in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

   Shabbir and Shafique delivered motivational lectures and interacted with the students on higher education opportunities.

   27 orphan students received their half-yearly scholarships.

   

3. Orphan Scholarships Distributed

   Orphan Care Department of Human Welfare Foundation organized a Scholarship Distribution Program at Ramnagar, Uttarakhand.

   Mohd Sarwar, Dr. Shahid Raza Baig, Dr. Mohd Sami and Dr Ehtesham were distributed the scholarship cheques.

4. Construction and Maintenance of Orphanages

   Most of the orphanages in the country are poor in infrastructure.  Across reports submitted to the government, poor lighting, cramped accommodation, regular violence as a means of discipline instead of proper child behavior methods are just some examples of poor infrastructure at orphanages.  HWF’s Orphan Care focuses on construction of Orphanages providing safe and secure shelter for orphans.

   So, far we have constructed/supported 7 orphanages in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa. Three orphanages are under construction- one in Rajasthan and two in Haryana.

5. Monthly Financial Support

   Under Orphan Care Program, HWF disburses monthly financial support to orphan children living with their families and relatives. 4000 orphans across the country are receiving monthly financial assistance under the program. In 2020-21, 206 new orphans got enrolled in our program.

6. Orphan Scholarships

   The Scholarship distribution is one of the highlights of the Orphan Care Program run by HWF. HWF provides scholarships to orphan beneficiaries on a quarterly basis. We try to ensure that the amount is primarily spent on their education and allied needs.

   During 2021-22, we have released scholarships to the beneficiaries by organizing more than 20 distribution programs. The majority of the beneficiaries belong to Assam, Tripura, and Uttar Pradesh including the 18 states where the program is currently running.
