Chairman - Prof. Manzoor Ahmad, IPS (Retired) 

Eminent educationist and administrator Prof. Manzoor Ahmad, IPS (Retired) was elected Chairman of Human Welfare Foundation on Sunday, 23rd August 2015.

Prof. Manzoor Ahmed, born in 1942 in Bihar, did his graduation (Hons. with distinction) from Bihar University in 1961. He did his post-graduation in Political Science in 1963 from Patna University and served as Lecturer of Political Science at Bihar University (1964) and Magadh University (1964-66). He was selected as IPS in 1966 and served as Police Officer in various capacities covering the length and breadth of U.P. till he became DIG CID (UP). He was handpicked by the Govt. of India as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi from 1985-88 and was incharge of its Development Planning & Execution of Plans. He was Vice -Chancellor of Agra University during the years 1996-2000.

He was nominated by President of India to the Executive Council of Aligarh Muslim University in 1999 and the Executive Council of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 2004. He also served as visiting professor of Political science in the Jamia Millia Islamia University. Later he served as vice chancellor of Subharti University, Meerut.
